Privacy
Your data, in good hands.
What we keep about you, why, for how long, and what you can ask of us. In plain words.
Who we are
DATA2INFO BV, Kruineikestraat 33, 3150 Tildonk, VAT BE0839362774, is responsible for the personal data this website and our bistrobar handle. Questions about your data? Mail hallo@brouss.be or call +32469246256.
What we keep and why
Reservations
For a table or De Donk we keep your name, e-mail address and phone number, the date, the number of people and whatever you tell us with your booking. We use them to hold your place, to confirm your reservation and remind you of it, and to reach you if something changes: that is needed to carry out your reservation. If you tell us about an allergy, we only use it to serve you safely.
Group requests
When you ask for a table for more than 12 people, we keep your name, e-mail address and phone number, the date, the number of guests and, if you give them, your company, the occasion and your wishes. We use them to make you a proposal and to follow it up; if you go ahead, they become your reservation.
Quote requests
When your company asks us for a quote, we keep the company name and VAT number, your name, e-mail address and phone number, and what you ask for. We use them to make the quote and to follow it up.
De Donk, invoices and deposits
For a booking of De Donk or an invoice we also keep your company name, VAT number and invoice address. The law obliges us to keep invoices and the accounts.
Gift cards
When you order a gift card we keep your name and e-mail address and, if we send the card by post, the delivery address. You pay through our payment provider: we never see your card details.
Questions and messages
Newsletter
When you sign up for our newsletter, we keep your e-mail address to send it to you, with your consent. You give it through the link in the mail we send you right after signing up; an address that is never confirmed is not kept. Every newsletter has a link to unsubscribe at once.
Applications
When you apply for a job, we keep your application and the personnel file you add to it: national register number, date and place of birth, nationality, address, bank account, an emergency contact and a copy of your identity card. We use them to assess your application and, if you come to work with us, for your employment: the declaration to social security (Dimona), your contract and your pay. Only the people who handle recruitment and payroll see them.
A review after your visit
The day after a reservation we send you one e-mail asking how it was and whether you would write a review on Google, at most once every three months. We do so out of a legitimate interest: hearing how our guests experienced their visit. The link in that e-mail stops these requests for good.
This website
Which cookies we use and why, you read in our cookie policy. The fonts of this site are on our own server and we fetch the Google reviews ourselves, so your visit is not passed on to Google for either.
Who else sees your data
We never sell your data. A few partners handle it on our behalf, and only for what we need: Odoo, the software this website and our administration run on, hosted in the European Union; our payment provider, for online payments; our social secretariat and our accountant, for payroll and the books. When you write a review on Google or plan a route with Google Maps, Google's own privacy statement applies.
How long we keep it
- Reservations, group and quote requests and messages: up to two years after your last visit or contact.
- Invoices and the accounts: as long as the law requires, currently up to ten years.
- Applications: if we do not hire you, at the latest one year after your application, sooner if you ask. If we do, your personnel file follows labour and social security law.
- Your choice not to receive review requests: as long as we keep your e-mail address, so we can respect it.
- The newsletter: until you unsubscribe.
Your rights
You can ask to see the data we keep about you, to correct it, to delete it, to limit its use or to receive it in a usable format. You can object to the review request at any time and withdraw any consent you gave. Send your request to hallo@brouss.be: we answer within a month.
Do you feel we do not handle your data properly? Tell us first, so we can put it right. You can also file a complaint with the Data Protection Authority (Gegevensbeschermingsautoriteit), Drukpersstraat 35, 1000 Brussels, www.gegevensbeschermingsautoriteit.be.
Security
Only the people who need your data for their work can see it, every page of this site travels over an encrypted connection, and we keep our software up to date.
